FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Great American Wheat Harvest Documentary Film Maker Wins Silver Telly Award for Movie Trailer

Frederick, MD – May 30, 2012 – Amongst nearly 11,000 entries from 50 states and numerous countries, Maryland-based independent filmmaker, Conrad Weaver of ConjoStudios, LLC, recently was named the Silver award winner in the 33rd Annual Telly Awards for the GREAT AMERICAN WHEAT HARVEST documentary movie trailer.

Set to release Spring 2014, the Great American Wheat Harvest documentary will follow the wheat harvest 10-state region from Texas up to the Canadian border, featuring the stories of America’s wheat producers and the hard-working harvesting crews. Miss America 2011 Teresa Scanlan, helped launch the film’s title and endorsed and supported the documentary project by filming a public service announcement to help recruit interest in sponsorship.

“I’m thrilled to be a Silver Telly winner for the Wheat Harvest Movie trailer,” says Weaver, who previously received a bronze Telly Award for the documentary, Mi Refugio. “It’s an honor to be selected and recognized for the work we’ve put into this project.”

Less than 10 percent of entries are chosen as Winners of the Silver Telly, which is the highest honor in the Telly Awards.
“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” says Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “Conjostudios’ accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate
video departments in the world.

In addition to recognition from the Silver Telly Council, the judging panel of more than 500 accomplished industry professionals and each a past winner of a Silver Telly, selects the Telly Awards winners. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work –entries do not compete against each other – rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit.
